Dr Marco Faria Correa is the Medical Director of Dr Marco Faria Correa Plastic Surgery in both Singapore & Brazil. As Dr Marco is currently based more in Singapore, he still maintained his practice in Porto Alegre & Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and usually practices in the winter month July and summer in December to January.
In 1991, he started to develop his research project in adapting endoscopic methods to Plastic Surgery. In 1992, he started to deliver his first case in endoscopic abdominoplasty and breast lifting. Cosmetic Surgeon Dr Tham obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, in 1992. He then proceeded to undergo Basic and Advanced Specialist Training in Plastic Surgery at Singapore General Hospital, and was subsequently admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Ireland) in 1999.
Our Story
Founded in 2017, the history of AZATACA Plastic Surgery started way back in 1999, where Terence and Zul, classmates at the National University of Singapore, who were on their elective posting in Melbourne, met Chris, who was then studying at the University of Melbourne. While initially pursuing their careers at various hospitals, their relationship was further cemented when Chris, having migrated to Singapore with his wife, joined Zul and Terence to work together at Singapore General Hospital in 2003.
Zul began his training in plastic surgery in 2007, while Terence and Chris commenced their training in 2008. Throughout their residency, the trio maintained a close relationship while training and studying. Upon completion of their plastic surgery board examinations, they continued to work together as a closely-knit team, collaborating on complex reconstructive cases and sharing notes to help improve each other’s outcomes in aesthetic surgery.
All three founding surgeons were awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) fellowship by the Ministry of Health (MOH). Zul chose to train in Brussels, focusing on microsurgical breast reconstruction, Chris learnt about the latest techniques in facial trauma and rhinoplasty in Germany, and Terence elected to further his skills on blepharoplasty, rhinoplasty and lower limb reconstruction in South Korea.

Established in 1978, Wong’s Plastic Surgery Centre began with Dr Wong Saw Yeen, a Colombo Plan Scholar who was a pioneer in the field of Plastic Surgery in Singapore. He sought his own advancement in the field of cosmetic surgery with observerships, conferences and fellowships in Hawaii, Mayo Clinic, USA, Japan and Thailand with procedures such as eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty, face-lifts and gender reassignment surgery.
Having operated on many celebrities and socialites in Singapore, Dr Wong Saw Yeen is most well known for his eyelid surgery and handling difficult cases and revisions.
Dr Marcus Wong carries on this tradition of plastic surgery in the family. From a very young age, he followed his father to hospitals and sat at the nurse’s counter while his Dad attended to patients on the wards in the evenings. During school holidays, he folded gauzes and rolled cotton balls to be sterilized for surgery in the days when they did not come in disposable packs.
But it takes more than imitation and helping out during school holidays to be a plastic surgeon; years of study, practice and hard work must be committed.
Marcus enjoyed an advantage over others. He had more than 40 years to watch and learn from his father who has been in private practice for nearly 40 years.

Dr Harry Fok is a well-trained plastic surgeon with a highly credentialed background in cosmetic and plastic surgery. Dr Fok served as the National Secretary of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery from 2005 to 2012 and was appointed to the National Panel of Experts at the Subordinate Court Mediation Service. He has served as an examiner for the Plastic Surgery Exit Examinations since 2012.

About Dr Wong Chin Ho
Dr Wong Chin Ho is a consultant Plastic Surgeon accredited by the Ministry of Health of Singapore with sub-specialty training in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. In 2000, he graduated as one of the tops students in his class from the Medical Faculty of the National University of Singapore. He then completed his Basic Surgical Training in General Surgery in 2004 and went on to complete his Advance Surgical Training in Plastic Surgery at the Department of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at the Singapore General Hospital in 2008.

About Dr. Rohan Mendis
Graduating from the medical faculty of National University of Singapore in 1992, Dr. Mendis underwent rigorous surgical training at Singapore General and National University Hospital, gaining extensive work experience in Accident & Emergency, Orthopedic Surgery, and General Surgery. In 1996 he obtained the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh.
